I love that Outlook occasionally fires up one of its keyboard shortcuts and clears your entire email you were typing if you’re not paying attention.
Fucking love it.

Because they’d like to use it too.
I’d be a little more enthused if both companies main goal from this wasn’t to make us work while wearing them.
Less if anything.
You buy something from China for $100. Add packing, staff costs and delivery and you sell it retail for say $200. A nice healthy profit margin.
Now you add the 145%, so it costs $245 from China. None of the rest of it will cost you more. Still an extra $100, for $345 total.
The retail customer pays an extra (345/200=) 72.5% instead.
It’s a lot, but not 145%.
So if your retail price goes up by 145% or more, they either weren’t making a lot of profit before, or they’re greedy bastards.
Here’s the thing. If you watch that, Netflix know your IP. If you’re on an Android TV box, Google will know your IP.
Odds are your phone is on the Wifi. Linked through IP. Now you get ads for Stranger Things on your phone. It doesn’t need to listen because everything is so leaky. You are linked on so many devices.
I once asked somebody for a spreadsheet (they were trying to import the data into my software and it was failing), and got back a .doc file containing a screenshot of Excel running the spreadsheet.
I was in awe of how somebody could misuse so many pieces of software at once.
Especially now an “AI” bullshitting an answer is a thing.
Indeed. What you are looking for is a spreadsheet.
Don’t overcomplicate things.
Where’s my dinner, woman!

I would think most consumer drives will be OK with that, but it varies, and the race to make things ever cheaper has only increased that. AFAIK, the more data they try to pack into a cell (SLC/MLC/TLC/QLC), the more likely they are to be affected by unpowered data loss.
What kind of storage do they use? Because SSDs left unpowered will lose data.
Yeah, fair enough.
It’s the one position he holds that isn’t completely crazy (and that shot of him being forced to pose with a Big Mac was pure comedy). He’ll kill millions with his vaccine views, but I can get behind this.
Of course if a Dem announced this, conservatives would be drinking paint in solidarity with dye manufacturers.
Describing the left as “very organized” is the funniest thing I’ve read all year.
That should have investors chomping at the bit to have him replaced.
That and the lucrative after dinner speeches for rooms full of wealthy white men.
Well that’ll serve him right, going around the place looking vaguely foreign.
Don’t be thinking this means housing is about to get more affordable.
It means borrowing is about to get a whole lot more expensive.
If they even try that it will look like that car chase scene from The Blues Brothers.
I watched up to the point where they pretended the Asian lad was dead, but actually he was hiding under a bin.
Not because it was cheap, but because I realised I no longer cared one way or the other.
I’m thinking more your staff, your shipping from your warehouse to your customers, your retail store and rent, etc.
Which all of course varies depending on the business you are. A small retail store would be affected much less by this than a much larger, more efficient operation that might not have retail locations at all.
