NYC doesnt have death penalty, so its unlikely he will get one. they want at least life or manslaughter charges on him.
He’s been indicted on state charges in NY, and also Federal charges, so he will be tried twice for the same crime, no matter what the NY trial decides. He can’t be executed for the NY state charges, but he can be executed by the Feds.
So conceivably he could be found not guilty in NY, and still get executed by a Federal court.
In Texas, you can shoot a guy in a wheelchair in between child molestations and the Governor while shake your hand while he pardons you.

That’s true in state crimes, but federal prosecutions are actually very different.
Federal prosecutors have a lot more room to argue and in general the court tends to favor the prosecution much more.
The judge is responsible for sentencing (and Trump appointed a lot, guarantee he gets a Trump judge), while discovery is much more restrictive against the defendant.
Higher burden of proof on a case that already has improperly collected evidence? Sure thing, go ahead and virtue signal to the right that you’re still the party of law and order. The billionaires should still be scared after reading this.
