Everything is still frozen. The grass is brown, no leaves, the forecast is 25cm of snow this weekend. I’ll get back to you in July.
Any justice system is well adapted to how society was in the near past.
There could be improvements, a major overhaul of the sentencing scale for example. Over the years there have been increased sentences for some crimes but not others which can create funny technicalities that if you threaten someone with a weapon you get a lesser sentence than just handling an illegal weapon.
Over all it’s good, not excellent.
€10 per year or something. Ancient deal without internet that is impossible to beat price wise.
I have a dual sim phone and work gave me a sim card and I’m using their internet when I have to.
A completely unmoderated instance would be defederated because it would end up filled with stuff that would get you raided by police.
Can you give an example of a rule that you feel is excessively strict and maybe we can come up with an instance where the enforcement is less strict.
Young men have problems in their lives, like everyone else does, maybe less, maybe more than other groups in society but that does not matter because for them it’s the most vivid problems. He talks to specifically them and their problems.
I don’t know how the media in your country sounds*, but here every time there is an issue discussed it tends to be: women, minorites, whatever have a problem, men are the problem.
If the mainstream does not talk about young men’s issues, you will hand over the attention of young men to someone who does.
*In a news article, or a political speech try switching the word man/woman black/white immigrant etc for their opposite. Some of them sound absolutely absurd when you do.
Anything with more than 3 seasons usually fails to maintain my attention. Eventually it’s just more of the same.
I usually don’t make it to the bottom of the list, getting lost reading other linked articles on the way
You may be doing him a disservice.
Let him face his challenges on his own, but be there and support him if things go wrong. The later he is forced to learn how to deal with things like this the harder it will be.
I was randomly selected for extra screening at the airport twice in one trip. That is about it.
Some cursed variant of dvorak with both common programming symbols and the local extra letters on accessible keys.
I switched because I got tired of the {}[] being on alt+gr combinations on the Nordic qwerty
Running cost vs what you can charge for the output product is more important than the one time cost of setting it up.
Very simplified: The demand for domestic steel will go up, production of domestic steel will go up, demand for domestic iron will go up, the cheap stuff is already being mined so more expensive to extract deposits will be used.
I don’t think the tariffs are primarily meant to make it cheaper to manufacture in the US. They are to be used as leverage in negotiations.
Eg Canada wants to trade. They can and probably will trade a lot more with Europe, but Europe have quite a lot of laws and regulations, and it can’t make up for the entire the US market. Negotiating with China is going to be about equally unpleasant as negotiating with MAGA US. Both options also requires shipping over an ocean.
Remains to be seen how angry he has made the populations of the rest of the western world (not know angry he has made you and me)
Working in something vaguely related to what you just started studying and playing games. Just like you do now.
I did not say you were unskilled or that police were skilled. Everything is relative.
I checked training time at for some of the occupations that OP mentioned. I don’t live in the US so ymmv.
Car mechanic: 1 year. Painter: 1 year. Chef: 70 weeks. Plumber: 60 weeks.
Extra because you mentioned it: Police is 2 years in the school bench and 6 months of on the job training.
How long was your training as a waiter?
None of what you describe are unskilled labor. The term I’d use is tradesmen.
Unskilled would be cleaners, grocery clerks, waiters etc.
No.
It’s already a bit too short to reach the sofa in the living room.
Even if it did, why? If my neighbors did the congestion would possibly decrease. They don’t know how and if I touch their stuff I’m doomed to be their perpetual tech support.
Yeah I think everyone knows it’s a bubble. Some think they will get off before it pops, and I don’t care, like I said I bought it to be happy either way.
I bought European defense stocks so I get happy whatever he says.
Jokes aside about 30k maybe? Not sold anything and I did not care enough to check. Hopefully he does not get to stay in office for another 4 years. I’ll just buy more meanwhile.
After some half a century of existing they are somehow still annoying to use.
