Not true everywhere, actually never heard of it here (Germany and Austria).

But if you walk into a place and ask for a paper cup of tap water, a lot of workers are willing to give it to you, regardless of the laws.

Vienna has tap water straight from the mountains btw and it tastes amazing. Recommended.

The first time I heard about sex from a friend, I was around 5 or 6 and went to my mom if that’s true. My mom went to the library, got some sex-ed books for kids and talked me through it. It ended up being not one single talk, but multiple, age appropriate ones spread over the years.

She didn’t do a perfect job, I’d say. There were many things left unknown and she was awkward with the topic (not an issue as a kid, certain issue as a teen).Though, considering that she got all her sex ed from magazines back in the day, definite progress on a generational scale.

I’m confident that I could do a better job than her, because she did a better job than her parents. That’s how it all works, no?

Don’t do this to your kids if you think that was wrong, lol. I know people who grew up like this, complained to me and then started to behave the exact same way with their kids later on.

Nobody “dresscoded” me at home. As soon as I was old enough to pick my own clothing, I could. What skirts or jeans or dresses I wore was my choice completely. My school also didn’t care much.

Blew my mind when I realized how many other girls had to sneak out with their clothes because the parents had a rule against tight jeans or whatever.

I still think my parents were right with this one. The kids with the strictest rules were always those with the craziest outfits. Can’t blame them, I’d have done the same.

When I first read this one, I thought it sounded crazy. Then I realized I know what you mean and am able to do it.

I think point three is pretty “normal”. A lot of People eat cake, pudding and ice cream with smaller cutlery.

When he was three, on a summer day, my little brother climbed the stairs of our house and ran up to me and the neighbors kid.

He had some medical issues as a baby, so most of his toddler and early childhood years, he looked rather frail and bony. Great kid, but not really what you’d describe as cute. Not on this day though.

He ran up to me all smiley faced and star-eyed and yelled my name. You know, like in the movies. I remember how the neighbors kid just quietly sighed “cute” right next to me. I was so damn proud.

I wish it was something more sophisticated like seeing his health or whatever. All I can say is that I was really fucking proud of how incredibly cute my little brother was, while he wobbled into my arms.

10 years ago, a Black woman told me that, while it’s perfectly valid to disagree with other people’s opinions, I should rethink the level of confidence that I depict when discussing a topic that I don’t know all that much about.

She probably saved quite a few others and myself from a fair bit of trouble.

Why would using one be an issue though? If the stencil is disposed afterwards, I don’t see an issue.

I did that experiment with my flatmates for some weeks once. (I love them, but they had it coming.)

One had a tighter schedule and you actually noticed the change pretty fast. I ended up telling him pretty early.

The other one didn’t notice at all, so I just went on and on. He was mad at me when I told him. Told me I should’ve just kept going if it’s working.

Both couldn’t tell from the taste alone.

I started to learn how to dance. You know, with other people. I’m really not the type. It’s embarrassing and terrifying. It also really helps me confront some of my fears. I’m pretty proud of that.
