The 2000’s.
The 2000’s.
All the same, I did switch to Ocenaudio when I heard the news. Works pretty good.
You love to see it, folks!
The problem is properly translating that from paper to digital. With a physical paper, you don’t even need to subscribe, you can just go out and buy one copy with a day or week’s worth of news. As for the ads, they’re static text/images printed on a piece of paper. They don’t overstimulate you by jumping around or block the content you’re actually there for.
I just listen to music on YT in a browser with uBlock Origin.
I assume they’re not that big into politics and just wanna appear moderate.
No, cutting out the few minutes a day I still bother with it isn’t exactly going to have spez standing outside my bedroom window with a boombox trying to get me back. I use Lemmy, but I’ve mostly gone back to message boards, so I’m content with where I am.
I STRONGLY recommend just going out looking for whatever forums you can find that are still active.
I’ve actually been going out of my way to look up new forums to use since the Reddit API controversy. Finding them can sometimes be a pain in the ass because search engines suck nowadays, but I’ve found a few I hang around on. I spend way more time on them than I do Lemmy.
Same. Colossal pain in the ass.
