I wanted to build my own module that would let me query and inject codes into my cars CAN bus and replace onstar with that. Short version of this is that GM says no, you cant use the car in a way that doesnt generate profit for us.
it’s that i escape but yes
I’m a US citizen looking for a way out and it’s probably not going to happen because I’m not rich and I’m not important.
The good news is I will likely be killed over this horseshit soon enough so I won’t have to suffer that long with it.
cloud is ridiculous. just set up some mini servers with friends or family. rsync your stuff with them over wireguard every now and then. The cloud should absolutely never ever be trusted.
I2p has a git service
This has been tested and proven time and time again. Google and Apple give apps a method to access the mic that the OS can allow or deny. This is what the apps are supposed to use.
Facebook doesn’t use that method for passive monitoring, only for active engagement. Don’t looks like it’s working when you go the use the thing and it’s disabled but it’s still listening to you.
If you must use such a social network, never ever ever use the mobile app. Use the website or don’t use the service at all.
Fuck you. You don’t know what I’m into!
Mandrake
There’s some people who have managed to get it working under podman
I do and I never get emails from my ISP.
Well, this should make for some fun, new script-kiddie malware.
You know what? I know this was a joke but this is a fantastic idea. A way to protest that even the old and weak can take part in. What are you going to do, outlaw feeding birds? Good luck with that.
A scam
woot! let me know what you come up with.
there is no setup and the instructions for a manual install keep getting me weird complaints from systemd about dependancies. It occurs to me that tackling this is error doesn’t make sense because it requires systemd to work and ultimately I want to run this on a diskless alpine linux install which doesnt use systemd.
It’s not that we can’t do this that has kept it from happening yet. It’s that it’s never been practical.
Hasn’t Kohl’s done this for years?
This is true. But they will have to send people out to get that drive and you will know about it. In the cloud, a government can take that data and the provider is forbidden from telling you.
