It’s a misdemeanor though in line with being drunk at Kroger or crossing through someone’s garden without permission.
I’m a legal immigrant (to the USA), there absolutely should be a legal path to emigrate to any and all countries.
The only difference between me and her is that I could afford not to work for the 7 months between landing in the country and my green card arriving in the mail, as well as the roughly $10k in fees, and I don’t have kids so being apart from my (then fiancee, now) wife for 14 months while the paperwork went through was also not such a big burden.
Having the privilege to endure those hardships does not constitute the entirety of being a good citizen.
it’s not like physically attacking a child will neccessarily guarantee an end to your problems anyway. Like with everything: it kinda just depends
“who’s the ideal buyer?”
“nobody”
I dont think we have, or rather, it is superceded by other rulings, probably since 9/11
there often is no path to legality, and she is the caregiver of her American-born children.
you’ve commented twice in this thread?
it’ll be like the scene in The Wire where they use a photocopier that prints “True” or “False” on a piece of paper

british people also say “nahimsayin” fwiw.
Americans have plenty of words to add emphasis without adding meaning, yo, my dude, boy howdy.
The knacker was the person who took your old tired horse and butchered it into meat, leather and glue, so it often carries that connotation too

well if they could do it with Henry Ford…
compared to KetaMusk that’s probably impressive
the Jesus death/resurrection myth is celebrated on Easter, its not what makes Easter.
You can celebrate Easter with or without any or all religions.
The concept that “if jews had guns” the holocaust wouldn’t have happened was deliberate inflammatory rhetoric and propaganda from the NRA and US right wing talk radio (Rush Limbaugh et al) and is not based in fact or truth, and only arose in the 1990s as a last ditch attempt to prevent (American) gun control laws.
Intellectually and philosophically the problem with the argument is that you are imagining an entirely fictional past (Jews having guns in the Weimar Republic) and claiming that the imagined fantasy past proves that the real history and present would have successfully been altered. It would be as logical to claim that if Jews had dynamite, or chainsaws, or wore plate armor, or carried a magical talisman, or memorized a specific poem they could have prevented the holocaust. All of which, including guns, is extremely improbable at best.
And so is the case here. I asked another commenter when they expected to start killing cops, and how many they expect to kill. No reply. I’m not telling you or recommending you do it, I just find it interesting that everyone telling me to kill cops on sight isn’t doing it themselves.
You pivot to “we need to stop ICE” but I don’t want to lose the focus of this discussion which was suggesting that I open fire on police officers on sight as a solution to this political problem.
I really don’t think we’re clearly thinking this through. I know my next door neighbor, but if the guy three doors down has a circle of cops outside a) I might not even know depending on the amount of noise, b) I’m not going to go shooting cops in the back if I just see them.
And when does this start? Have you shot a cop yet? Are you planning shooting cops today? Tomorrow? Next month? In 6 months?
I dont buy it.
Yeah, as an immigrant who doesn’t much like the idea of dying, I can’t ever see myself deciding to suicide by cop rather than be deported. Being deported would suck ass harder than most things I’ve experienced - I’d lose my house, my job, be separated from my partner - but still preferable to being gunned down and drowning in my own blood as it fills my lungs.
