The most frustrating part of this “article” was that it did not elucidate any aspect of the request or the scope of the project. Nobody knows the infrastructure except for the parties involved.

I believe it is centralized but it is certainly an alternative to WhatsApp. My understanding is that it’s encrypted and privacy centric.

I stopped using RIF when the dumbass who developed it started whining about open source and monetary remuneration. The app became popular in large part because it was open source.
