The entire peninsula has no power at all? How on earth does that happen?
I hope everyone’s safe.

What happened on the 1st of May?
Yeah I was subbed to both when I first joined Lemmy, but this one seemed more active. I’ve since blocked lemmy.ml so wouldn’t see it anyway.
Is the other one on lemmy.ml?
It would be good if Lemmy had a “snooze community” feature where you could not see posts in any feeds for a specified amount of time. So basically on a race weekend you could snooze the community for 3 days or whatever and no posts would appear in your feed.
Edit: raised it as a feature enhancement on Lemmy’s Githhub page, but was closed as the devs don’t have enough time, which is fair enough.
This feels reminiscent of Mercedes in 2022 when they suddenly found themselves in the upper-midfield and were apologising to fans, as if it were just a temporary blip. They couldn’t accept their new position after winning for so long.
Ah right, that makes sense, thanks!
What exactly does “scaled” mean?
Would be kinda cool to have an instance dedicated to motor racing.
I didn’t know there was a front wing clampdown. Who seems to be the target of this?
This was probably the only thing to remember the entire race. I hope theres a website dedicated to Leclerc’s spicy radio comments.
Same. I wasn’t really interested in him coming into the season for some reason, but he’s been very impressive and mature. Reminds me of Piastri, just hitting the ground running.
I feel like the quality of juniors these days is incredibly high.
Stroll in a league of his own.
Antonelli, Bearman and Hadjar have been impressive for me.
I’m baffled why McLaren didn’t keep Norris out for a bit longer and run in some clean air? Was very surprised to see him pit at the same time as Verstappen.
Could say the same for 2024. And 2023. And 2022. And 2021. And 2020. And 2019. And 2018. And…
Whoever crosses the finishing line first wins the race.
Credit cards offer protection over debit cards. After all, it’s the banks money if something fraudulent happens on a transaction, not yours. I always use my credit card over my debit card mainly for this reason.
Some credit cards offer cash back or rewards which build up when you spend.
I have a direct debit set up to pay off the balance at the end of the month so it just automatically pays itself off.
Not sure yet, we’re still waiting for the first frame to finish.
