Hello, FYI this community has a rule preventing questions about US politics, feel free to post on !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world
Great explanation, FYU I just posted this to !bestoflemmy@lemmy.world
But then if any LW community are going to become US specific from now due to the political climate, should people not interested in that just move elsewhere?
Example: !nostupidquestions@lemmy.world , all the recent posts are about the US elections
Go to your settings, export your settings, then import them on the new account.
That’s it. If you want to be fancy, you can add your new account on your old bio and vice-versa, but that’s mostly it.
If you want to keep your “reputation”, use the same username on both sides, people will recognize you.
Thank you for coming back
security review by someone experienced to make sure we do not instantly get hacked as soon as we open
The source not being open will not prevent attackers from trying to hack your website as it currently online.
If you need help with having a look at the code, you can probably reach out to people here. You might want to shut the website down during the review so that if an issue is discovered it won’t be exploited.
It is typescript, next, React, Cloudflare
Interesting, those are all front-end languages. Do you know which one was used for the back-end?
Hello,
Thank you for commenting here! Do you have any idea of the timeframe when you’ll be able to open source the project?
Also, what are the languages used to develop ClubsAll? Asking as depending on them the number of people able to help would vary.
I’m surprised by the numbers too, why would someone downvote such thread?
So this was on !videos@hexbear.net right?
Then why is Dessalines involved as you are a LW user?
Anyway, you might probably want to report this on !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com or !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works rather than here
The other night 337K people all registered to vote, simply because Taylor Swift sent one message on instagram.
That’s the example used by OP to make their point. Just from a technical perspective, how are instances supposed to handle 300k new users overnight?
To come back to your usual argument, do you expect those hundreds of thousands of new users to get a Communick subscription? Or to even support the hosting costs of the instances they would use?
Aside for @blaze@feddit.org: see what I mean about Fedi’s anti-growth and reactionary culture? Our friend here is not an isolated case
It’s more against having celebrities and their followers coming here en masse, which I get.
I’ve still seen a few comments mentioning “organic grow” which seems indeed healthier
If your email address is lostmymind@outlook.com, what prevents someone to create lostmymind@gmail.com and pretend to be you?
We have our own astroturfing bots, did we make it?
