Why does this read like a backhanded dog at Springsteen?
Bruce Springsteen is famously a nice guy. To be intimated by him would mean you would have to be wildly insecure.
And I’m thinking that a person would have to be an absolute dick for a nice guy like Springsteen to criticise said person.
It’s like being intimidated by Mr. Rogers. You have to be the most insecure monster to feel like unconditional kindness is threatening to you.
