There was a wave of vandalism in Australia that was basically a false flag (someone was paying petty criminals to graffiti Jewish landmarks), and it caused Parliament to pass a bunch of draconian laws to ‘fight anti-Semitism’. The average Republican doesn’t like Jews at all. By religious nuts, Israel is viewed as the guarantor of control over the Holy Land, and for slightly less religious nuts Muslims are just worse than Jews. Therefore anti-semitism is fine, not supporting the state of Israel isn’t. Crazy world.
