Woman thought she was having menstrual cramps but ends up giving birth. No pregnancy symptoms.
This happens in about 1 in a million pregnancies, surprisingly. Even medical pregnancy tests can miss it enough for this stat to occur.
That’s a little scary.
Nature really do be like that
ITS A MIRACLE!
A real life Mad Men episode.
Aisling Bea would have been prepared.
“Whoa… How’d that get in there?”
It’s inconceivable.
I’ve always wondered what it felt like to mothers who didn’t know they had a child inside. Like… how do you explain the kicking? Do you just think you have an alien and go about your day? I… struggle with not knowing what’s going on there.
My partner didn’t feel kicks until well intro pregnancy due to fetal position. It was very troubling (everything turned out okay.)
Im also struggling to believe stories like this are real. Theres no way you havent looked in the mirror for the past 6 months and havent noticed you gained 8kg.
Not all women’s bodies look the same when that are pregnant. In particular a tilted uterus can hide a significant amount of baby bump
Tilted uterus sounds like a spread running tech NGL.
There’s a picture of her in the article at several months pregnant, and you can tell she’s wearing baggier clothes, but not much baggier. She says she gained a little weight but not much. It’s a recognized thing among doctors, so not sure why you’re struggling to believe it.
This happened in my high school in the ‘80’s. A girl went to the nurse for stomach cramps. The nurse sent her home so she could go see a doctor about it.
When the doctor correctly diagnosed the problem, the mom started screaming at the girl who proceeded to go into labor.
She delivered that day.
There was a show on this… I didn’t know I was pregnant
Mama doctor jones does a react series on those on youtube. I have been bingewatching those episodes and am now properly scared of randomly popping out a child on my way to the grocery store.
