america’s prison system is not designed around rehabilitation, it’s designed around a failed doctrine of deterence. really, though, it’s designed to manufacture consent from the unenslaved to enslave the most on the fringes people in our society.
Rehabilitation? In US prisons? You’re kidding, right? US prisons is where innocent kids go to to become real and hardened criminals. Once released the US has made sure that you’re life is then so fucked that you can’t get a job, or go anywhere but crime.
